(1) Traffic sign columns and beams can be made of steel pipes, H-shaped steel, channel steel, reinforced concrete and other materials. Column caps should be set on the top of the steel pipes. Steel components should be treated with anti-corrosion treatment.
(2) Traffic signs should be set on reinforced concrete foundations. Single-column traffic signs located on bridge sections can be attached to the bridge using steel structures.

Structural Design
1. The design basic wind speed should be based on the local flat open ground, 10m high from the ground, with a return period of 50 years and 10min average maximum wind speed, and shall not be less than 22m/s.
2. The traffic sign structure should be designed according to the limit state of bearing capacity and the limit state of normal use, and should meet both structural and technological requirements.
3. The structural importance coefficient of traffic signs can be divided into two levels:
(1) Structural importance factor for cantilevered and gantry traffic signs located on expressways and first-class highways 7
(2) For other types of traffic signs located on expressways, first-class highways and traffic signs located on other grades of highways, the structural importance coefficient Y. =0.9.
4. The load calculation and combination of the traffic sign structure, the limit state design method, and the design of the foundation foundation should comply with the current "General Code for the Design of Highway Bridges and Culverts" (JTC D60), "Code for Design of Foundations and Foundations of Highway Bridges and Culverts" (JTJ 024), " "Steel Structure Design Code" (JB 50017) and "Road Traffic Signs and Markings" (JB 5768).
