1. In principle, traffic signs on roads at all levels should use reflective materials to make sign surfaces.
2. Traffic signs on expressways, first-class highways and urban trunk roads should use first to third-level reflective films; traffic signs on second- and third-class highways and general urban roads should use fourth-level or higher reflective films. Level 4 and 5 reflective films can be used on level 4 highways and other roads with very small traffic volumes.
3. Curve section signs on expressways, first-class highways, urban expressways, and multi-way intersections in urban areas should use reflective materials of level three or above.
4. For mast signs and cantilever signs on highways and urban expressways, in order to obtain a reflective effect comparable to that of roadside signs, it is recommended to use reflective materials with a higher grade than the reflective film used for roadside signs, or to replace mast signs and cantilever signs. Reflectors were used on the characters to improve nighttime visibility. Illuminated signs can also be used on important road sections where conditions permit.
